Simkins’ Property team has advised Sorbon Estates Limited, a premier property investment and development company, on securing a long-term tenant for one of their largest units in Buckinghamshire.
The client’s innovative approach ensured the tenant was able to secure ideal premises for their new venture while also providing Sorbon Estates with the necessary safeguards. In addition to the grant of a 25-year lease, bucking the trend towards shorter-term lettings, the deal involved complex rent review and security arrangements. Simkins also advised on a licence for alterations, allowing the tenant to carry out substantial fit-out works whilst protecting Sorbon Estates’ interests.
The deal demonstrates the continuing success of Sorbon Estates’ portfolio and highlights Simkins’ expertise in representing landlords in complex commercial lettings. Associates Juliet Farrington-Breeze and Kim Walker led on the deal.
Juliet commented: “It’s always a pleasure working with the Sorbon Estates team and we’re thrilled to have been able to help secure such an important letting for them. It’s really positive to see that there is still a demand for high value long lettings when the location is right. We’re sure the tenant will be very pleased in their new home, and we look forward to working with Sorbon Estates again on their ever-evolving portfolio”.
