Andrew Lloyd

Associate

Andrew joined Simkins in 2020, having previously worked at a Tier 1 ranked firm in the south east. He has experience in a broad variety of employment law matters, both contentious and non-contentious. Andrew's work includes negotiation of settlement agreements, advice on contracts and policies, management of employment tribunal claims and general corporate support.

Andrew has significant experience in managing whistleblowing claims and discrimination claims for clients in entertainment, insurance, financial services, technology, and construction. He has advised both employers and employees on large scale redundancies and collective consultation and dealt with claims for failure to collectively consult and for failure to provide employee liability information under TUPE.

He has negotiated the settlements of CEOs, investment bankers, law firm partners and television executives. Andrew has experience negotiating restrictive covenants, confidentiality agreements and often advises on bespoke settlement agreements for both employers and employees.

While Andrew has significant experience in managing tribunal claims, Andrew regularly succeeds in settling claims and helping parties to mediate disputes. He has recently settled a claim for multiple employees threatening a group claim against a leading household brand without the need for litigation.

Andrew often arranges webinars and presentations about legal developments for corporate clients and has contributed to articles and commentary in Personnel Today, the I Newspaper and HR Magazine. Andrew is an active member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
