Simkins supports multiple charities through festive fundraising activities
Simkins is proud to announce its commitment to giving back to the community through a number of festive fundraising activities and supporting multiple charities this festive period.
On December 5th, the Simkins quiz team participated in the 3Kites Christmas Charity Quiz, an event aimed at raising funds for The Trussell Trust. The Trussell Trust charity works with a network of food banks to provide emergency food and support to individuals and families facing hardship in the UK. The Simkins team not only secured 1st place in the quiz but also won the Best Team Name award as ‘The Mulled Whiners’. The event raised an impressive £1,000 for The Trussell Trust, which 3Kites generously matched and doubled to make £2,000 for the charity.
Continuing our activities, the Simkins office was transformed into a runway of Christmas knits on December 7th in support of Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day. Our efforts raised an inspiring £354 to support children in the UK and around the world, ensuring that they stay safe, healthy, and have access to education. Simkins has set up a JustGiving page for anyone who wishes to contribute further.
Simkins has also proudly donated to the 27th annual ‘Follow the Stars - Macmillan Carols 2023’ concert held on December 8th at Christ Church Cathedral in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. The event featured live readings from Greg Wise, Mel Giedroyc and Toby Jones, along with carols sung by the Oxford Bach Soloists. To watch a recording of the concert or to donate to Macmillan Cancer Support, you can do so on their JustGiving page.
In the spirit of giving, Simkins has decided to continue their tradition of foregoing Christmas cards this year and instead will be making an annual donation to The Honeypot Children’s Charity. The Honeypot Children’s Charity provides support, relief and opportunities for young carers aged 5–12 in the UK, allowing them to enjoy their childhood and create lasting memories.
“We are proud to support these charities and help make a difference,” said Euan Lawson, Managing Partner at Simkins. “Our team has shown great enthusiasm in participating in these fundraising activities, and we are committed to giving back to our community and helping those in need this festive season.”
Simkins invites our contacts, clients, and colleagues to join them in supporting these worthy causes. To participate in or donate to any of our chosen charities, please visit our Social Impact page to find out more.
