Simkins client MBK Productions achieves nine BIFA nominations for 'The Outrun'
We would like to warmly congratulate our client MBK Productions and also the Producers, Brock media and Arcade Pictures, in respect of the nine nominations for the film 'The Outrun' at the British Independent Film Awards 2024.
A team led by Jonathan Blair and Giao Pacey advised MBK Productions on its part financing of the film.
'The Outrun' tells the story of Rona, played by Saoirse Ronan, as she tries to come to terms with her troubled past marked by alcoholism. The non-linear story juxtaposes the urban sprawl of London with the solitary beauty of the Orkney Islands, with the film being described as "a moving portrait of addiction."
The film has been nominated for best British independent film, best lead performance, best screenplay, best director, best cinematography, best original music, best editing, best sound, and best make-up and hair design.
We wish MBK Productions and the Producers the best of luck on 8 December, when the winners will be announced.
