Simkins advises Magic Sound Entertainment on K-pop star IU’s H.E.R.E.H World Tour Concert in London

Simkins’ Commercial team has advised Magic Sound Entertainment and the wider iMe Entertainment Group on IU’s H.E.R.E.H World Tour Concert at the OVO Arena in London. IU is a South Korean singer-songwriter and actor and one of the biggest K-pop stars with a global fanbase. The London leg was part of IU’s first world tour with concerts in Asia, North America and Europe.
The Simkins team provided comprehensive guidance and advice on child performance licensing requirements as well as data protection and regulatory compliance. Utilising their extensive knowledge of media, entertainment and commercial law, Simkins delivered practical advice in a complex and niche area of the entertainment industry.
The matter was led by Partner Ed Baden-Powell with Associate Stephen Cartwright having day-to-day conduct of the matter, with assistance from Partner Stuart Smith and Trainee Solicitor Sophie Neal.
