IR35 Webinar – Do you understand the implications for your business of the new off-payroll rules?
Tuesday 30 March 2021 1:00pm
As confirmed by the Chancellor in his 2021 budget, the postponed changes to the off-payroll working rules are now due to come into force from 6 April 2021. Under these new rules, medium and large-sized private sector companies who hire workers through intermediaries, e.g. the worker’s own personal services (or “loan-out”) company (PSC), will potentially take on the responsibility for paying tax and National Insurance contributions to HMRC as if they were employees.
This webinar will look at the new rules and when they apply. We will discuss the factors to determine employment status and consider what responsibilities clients, agents, intermediaries and workers have under the rules. We will also look at the key legal issues and practical implications for the media and entertainment industry.
This webinar is aimed at all those who use workers via PSCs, be it in-house legal teams, HR professionals and business managers.
This webinar will be given by members of both our media and employment team. We will also be joined by Dave Morrison of Nyman Libson Paul to discuss the new rules from a tax perspective.
