Susan is a highly experienced employment lawyer whose practice covers working with both employers and senior individuals in all areas of employment law (including partnership disputes) in the Employment Tribunals and High Court. She has particular expertise in advising on collective redundancies and TUPE, and bringing and defending discrimination and whistleblowing claims. Susan also regularly advises employers on day to day HR issues and employees on termination of employment and severance terms.

Susan’s clients include major PLCs and SMEs. She has also represented senior individuals, including partners in city law firms and accounting practices, and senior executives in the financial services sector and industry. Clients say she provides “pragmatic no nonsense solutions to their issues.”

Susan regularly speaks at conferences and particularly enjoys working with clients providing interactive in house training on various employment law topics, including diversity for both HR and line management. She is described as a “highly engaging speaker”. Susan is often asked to comment on developments in employment law by news agencies, including the Financial Times and the Evening Standard. She was also closely involved in a BBC production on sex discrimination in the City.

Susan is currently recommended in Legal 500 and has been named as an expert in employment law every year since 1995 in Legal Experts. She was also named as a top 100 lawyer and top 50 women solicitors in 2014 by London Super Lawyers magazine.
